New Patients

What to expect from your first visit at Farming Smiles.

Lots of Smiles! We are very excited to welcome you to our practice! We believe in creating lifelong relationships with our patients — connections that evolve into friendships are a huge bonus!

You’ll take a seat in one of our brand new operatories, and Dr. Panucci will perform a thorough clinical, orthodontic examination. The examination includes a top to bottom oral exam, and complete review of all diagnostic records. Dr. Panucci will then formulate a customized treatment plan, and cover all aspects of recommended treatment.

The Initial Examination will answer the following questions:

  • What type of clinical issues are present, if any?
  • What type of treatment is indicated?
  • When is the best time to begin treatment?
  • What is the length of time necessary to complete treatment?
  • What is the cost for treatment?

New Patient Forms

Having your forms ready before your appointment ensures that you can spend more time relaxing while you’re here! Please take a minute to print and fill out the patient information form before your first appointment:

How much will the treatment cost?

We want to make it as easy as possible for you to receive orthodontic care! Pricing is determined by the severity of the patient’s orthodontic issues. Once the exam is complete, and if treatment is recommended, our treatment coordinator will discuss cost and the various payment options available. We offer different payment options designed to meet your budget and accept assignment from most insurance plans.

Investment in orthodontic treatment includes:

  • Your orthodontic records: consisting of x-rays, full mouth photos, and a growth study workup that is personalized to determine treatment objectives.
  • Fees for active treatment including early treatment options, complete comprehensive treatment with braces or Invisalign which include all appliances, office procedures and visits. Farming Smiles orthodontic appliances are some of the most durable the industry has to offer. These appliances should maintain integrity through the entire treatment period (provided the patient follows instructions). Sometimes certain appliances require replacement, as a result of breakage, loss, misuse or failure of patient to make changes in the types of food that can cause damage. Panucci Orthodontics reserves the right to charge a fee for replacement of additional orthodontic appliances.
  • One set of final retainers for our comprehensive (Phase II) patients is provided upon completion of treatment. There is a replacement fee for each additional retainer that is lost or broken.

Investment Does Not Include:

Any dental procedures / work performed outside of Panucci Orthodontics.

If an accident or injury occurs during treatment which results in TMJ (Temporo-Mandibular-Joint) complications, additional orthodontics, orthognathic surgery, etc, a fee adjustment may be required to complete treatment under these unusual circumstances.

Orthodontic Insurance Benefits

Panucci Orthodontics will file all orthodontic claims for you. We will apply any orthodontic benefits you may receive and subtract this amount from the balance determined in your treatment plan. In doing this, your family’s out-of-pocket expense is normally lowered substantially. Should you discover any change in coverage policy, prior to full payment of the insurance benefit, we ask that you contact our office as soon as humanly possible, so that adjustments can be made in your contract with Panucci Orthodontics.

Office Hours

It is our goal to see you, on time, for your appointment. Time is scheduled to complete the necessary procedure, give information about the treatment and answer any questions you may have. In order for us to maintain a schedule that runs in a timely manner, we request that patients arrive on time to avoid delays, as the day progresses. We appreciate your consideration and cooperation more than you know. Keep in mind that when you arrive on time, you’re also saying “I care about the patients seen after my arrival”, and it doesn’t get much more awesome than that!

Emergency Care

Orthodontic emergencies are very rare, but if one occurs, our office is available to help you! If you are experiencing any issues such as soreness, pain, loose bands or brackets, broken or poking wires, please contact us for an appointment during patient hours.
